30 Hour OSHA General Industry

Confined Space Entry
This half to full-day course teaches students the characteristics of confined spaces and how to safely enter/exit a permit-required confined space. The student will also learn the requirements and duties of the Supervisor, Entrant, and Attendant. Anyone that enters a permit-required confined space must complete confined space entry training. Certification will be issued upon successful completion of the course. Certification will not expire; however, we recommend that students attend refresher training every three years.

Confined Space Rescue
This two day minimum course teaches the technical rescue and recovery of victims trapped in a confined space, or in a place accessible only through a confined space, such as storage silos, storage tanks, sewers, or underground vaults. Students will have the opportunity to practice entering and rescuing victims trapped in vessels with both horizontal and vertical rescue scenarios using a large confined space prop. Certification will be issued upon successful completion of the course. Certification will expire after one year. Eight hours of rescue refresher training must be completed annually after the first year.

Confined Space Rescue Refresher
This one day course reviews lessons learned in Confined Space Entry and Rescue while providing an update on any changes in the industry. This course meets the annual refresher training required by OSHA 29 CFR Part 1910.146. All participants must successfully complete the Confined Space Entry and Rescue prerequisites before attending this 1-day minimum refresher course. Certification will be issued upon successful completion of the course. Training will need to be refreshed annually.

Confined Space Competent Person
This one-day course will provide students with an understanding of the hazards in the permit space and the methods used to isolate, control or in other ways protect employees from these hazards, and for those employees not authorized to perform entry rescues, in the dangers of attempting such rescues. This course is ideal for employees in supervisory roles that will serve as the OSHA required competent person as outline in CFR 1926 Subpart AA. The certification will not expire; however, we recommend taking a refresher course every three years.

High Angle Rope Rescue
This one to two-day course outlines life-saving practices and techniques that can be used when other workers are in danger. Students will perform scenario training exercises that will utilize their ability to solve problems under pressure using rigging and equipment fundamentals. This course covers line transfers, pick-offs, rigging, advantage systems, anchor point selection, rappelling, and belaying. This course pairs very well with Confined Space Entry and Rescue. Certification will be issued upon successful completion of course.

Hazardous Communication/HAZWOPER Awareness
This 8-hour course outlines precautions workers can take to prevent accidents and to protect themselves from chemical hazards. This training will give the students the opportunity to learn how to analyze their job site, identify potential physical and health hazards, and use labeling and other methods to take protective measures against these hazards. The course is ideal for any worker on a site with chemicals. Certification will be issued upon successful completion of the course. The certification will not expire; however, we recommend taking a refresher course every three years.

40 Hour HAZWOPER Technician
This five day course prepares students to identify safety concerns and take offensive measures relating to hazardous waste on the job site. Students will be presented with the hands-on scenarios that will help them to develop the skills to respond quickly and safely to hazardous materials accidents. This course is required for any person that may perform activities that will expose or potentially expose them to hazardous substances, or any person working on a project consisting of uncontrolled hazardous waste operation mandated by the government. Certification will be issued upon successful completion of the course. The certification will expire after one year. The 8 Hour HAZWOPER Refresher course must be taken annually, beginning one year after initial certification is received.

24 Hour HAZWOPER Operations
This three day course prepares students to recognize safety concerns and take defensive measures relating to hazardous waste on the job site. Students will be presented with the hands-on training to respond quickly and to safely mitigate the dangers of hazardous materials accidents. This course is required for any person that may be exposed to, or come into contact with hazardous waste and substances. The scope of this course includes, but is not limited to, corrective actions, clean-up, treatment, storage, and disposal. Certification will be issued upon successful completion of the course. The certification will expire after one year. The 8 Hour HAZWOPER Refresher course must be taken annually, beginning one year after initial certification is received.

8 Hour HAZWOPER Refresher
This one day course is an annual refresher training class designed for any emergency response worker or hazardous waste site worker who holds an existing 24-Hr. or 40-Hr. HAZWOPER certification. Refresher certification will be issued upon successful completion of course.

Powered Industrial Truck and Lift Operator
This one day course consists of classroom and hands-on field training on equipment that will be specific to the students and their operating environment. During this course students will learn about the design functions and limitations of powered industrial truck equipment such as aerial lifts, boom lifts, scissor lists, forklifts, etc. Other training topics will include capabilities, stability, and carbon monoxide hazards while operating propane or diesel trucks inside buildings. Certification will be issued upon successful completion of the course. Refresher training for operator courses is recommended every 3 years. Students must be evaluated once every 3 years after initial training.

Fall Protection Awareness
This half-day course will teach students how to safely work in an environment that has potential for fall hazards. Students will be prepared to identify hazards, and to prevent themselves and others from having fall-related accidents. Anyone who may be exposed to fall hazards should attend this course. Certification will be issued upon successful completion of the course. Certification does not expire; however, we recommend fall protection awareness refresher training every three years.

Fall Protection Competent Person Training
This one day course will teach students to identify existing and predictable fall hazards in the work environment. Students will attain the knowledge and skills to perform annual inspections, record keeping, and preventive measures to keep a site safe and compliant. This course is intended for site supervisors who are authorized to take prompt corrective measures to eliminate hazards. Certification will be issued upon successful completion of the course. Certification does not expire; however, we recommend refresher training every three years to stay up to date with new systems, equipment, and laws.

24-Hour Competent Person for Fall Protection (EM 385-1-1)
This three-day course provides the student with in-depth knowledge of safe working practices on construction sites enabling them to identify existing and predictable fall hazards. This course has been designed to comply with 29 CFR OSHA 1926, ANSI/ASSE Z359.2, and EM 385-1-1 regulations. Students will develop the skills to perform inspections, record keeping, preventive measures, fall protection systems, and fall protection equipment. The students will learn the best ways to keep a site safe and compliant through our interactive classroom portion and hands-on activities that allow students to apply their new knowledge. Certification will be issued upon successful completion of the course. Certification does not expire; however, we recommend refresher training every three years to stay up to date with new systems, equipment, and laws.

Excavation Awareness Training

Excavation Competent Person Training
This one day course will provide students with the information and training required to become a competent person who will support compliance with OSHA regulations on the site. The students will learn to identify existing and predictable hazards in surroundings, and working condition which are unsanitary, hazardous, or dangerous to employees. Competent persons must be authorized to take prompt corrective measures to eliminate these hazards. This course is ideal for supervisor level workers that will perform certain activities or safety procedures at a construction site that require design, inspection, or supervision by a competent person. Certification will be issued upon successful completion of the course.

Georgia Utility ManagerGeorgia Utility Manager
This half day course will outline the safety practices and procedures that are required while overseeing and managing the construction, erection, alteration, or report of utility systems. Only Utility Managers are permitted to do hands-on work. This course is approved by the state of Georgia for the certification and recertification license for the utility manager. Certification of training will be issued upon successful completion of the course. Students will need to file for their Georgia Utility license after training. Recertification is required every two years.

Georgia Utility Foreman
This one day course will outline the safe practices and procedures that are required while working on and supervising utility systems. A utility foreman license is required by the state of Georgia to supervise utility construction. This course is approved by the state of Georgia for the certification and recertification license for the utility foreman. Certification of training will be issued upon successful completion of the course. Students will need to file for their Georgia Utility license after training. Recertification is required every two years.

Georgia Utility Initial Safety Training
This day-and-a-half course will outline the safe practices and procedures that are required while working on and supervising utility systems. A utility foreman license is required by the state of Georgia to supervise utility construction. This 12-hour course is approved by the state of Georgia for the initial certification license for utility foreman or utility manager. Certification of training will be issued upon successful completion of the course. Students will need to file for their Georgia Utility license after training. Recertification is required every two years.

First Aid/CPR/AED
This one day course provides training for response to common first aid emergencies including burns, cuts, head/neck/back injuries and more. Students will also learn how to respond to cardiac and breathing emergencies, including the use of automated external defibrillators. Anyone interested in learning these vital lifesaving skills for medical emergencies should take this course. Certification will be issued upon successful completion of the course. Certification will expire after 2 years.

40-Hour First Responder
This 5 day course trains those individuals who are the first to arrive at an emergency to provide efficient and accurate pre-hospital care. Students assess patients for wounds and determine if trauma, shock, burns or closed airways are a problem as an emergency medical technician (EMT). They will learn how to address those issues by dressing wounds, stabilizing the person and/or administering oxygen. They will also learn to immobilize patients and address common emergency medical issues with basic treatments. This advanced level course is ideal for someone who has the potential to be the first on scene to emergency cases dealing with serious medical emergencies, such as law enforcement and firefighters. Certification will be issued upon successful completion of the course.

Hands-on Fire Extinguisher
This half day course focuses on how to extinguish an incipient fire using a portable fire extinguisher. Students will learn how to operate portable fire extinguishers using a state of the art system that simulates the different fire classifications. Each participant will use an extinguisher to suppress an actual or simulated fire using the PASS method (Pull, Aim, Squeeze, and Sweep). Students will also learn when not to use a fire extinguisher. This course is great for any and all workers. Certification will be issued upon successful completion of course.

Fire Watch
This half day training course outlines the roles and responsibilities of a worker on fire watch duty while hot work is being performed. Students completing this course will be taught how to prevent, detect, control, and extinguish any incipient stage fires in their work area. Anyone that could potentially be assigned fire watch duties should complete this course. Certification will be issued upon completion of course.

Incipient Fire Fighting
This course will teach the students skills to fight incipient fires (fire in the beginning stages). Student will learn the stages of fire and to identify when the fire is past an incipient stage. Students will be taught how to react quickly and safely to this situation. Certification will be issued upon completion of this course.

Scaffold Awareness
This half day course outlines general information such as proper use and handling of materials on scaffolds, maximum load capacities, and identifying and correcting hazards. Students who attend this course will have an opportunity to actively participate in promoting work place safety by applying what they’ve learned. This course is intended for anyone working on or near scaffolds. Certification will be issued upon successful completion of the course. Refresher training is recommended once every three years.

Scaffold Erection
This full day course outlines how to safely erect and dismantle scaffolds. Students will learn how to protect themselves and other workers from the hazards involved with working on or near scaffolds. The course is designed for workers with the responsibility of erecting, dismantling, or moving scaffolds. Certification will be issued upon successful completion of the course.

Scaffold Competent Person Training
This full day course is designed for workers that will be responsible for supervising the erection and dismantlement of scaffolds. Also, the student will be able to perform required pre-shift inspections of the scaffold equipment that will be used during shift. At least one scaffold competent person must be on site while working with scaffolding equipment. Certification will be issued upon successful completion of the course.

Powered Industrial Truck and Lift – Train the Trainer
This two day course will provide students with the opportunity to attain knowledge, materials, and the certification they will need to be able to teach the Powered Industrial Truck and Lift Operator course. This course focuses on the OSHA training regulations, how they affect your company, and how to comply with the standards. Certification will be issued upon successful completion of the course.

8 Hour Annual Safety Training
This one day course provides students with an overview of safety news and updates in the industry, and reviews information on important safety topics. Students who complete this course will be able to apply up to date, relevant safety practices to their work site. This course is ideal for anyone who would like to learn about safe work practices. This course can also be used as a non-required refresher for the 10 hour and 30 hour OSHA courses. Certification will be issued upon successful completion of the course. The certification will not expire; however, we recommend attending this training annually to stay up to date with news in the industry, learn about new laws and standards, and refresh on important topics.

ARC Flash Awareness
This half-day course will teach students how to assess ARC flash hazards and act to mitigate them by selecting appropriate PPE and determining protection boundaries. They will also learn how to use NFPA-70E and calculation methods to determine protection boundaries. The course also provides some of the key requirements necessary to prepare students for further qualifications in this field. This course is for students who will work around circuits on the job site. Certification will be issued upon successful completion of the course. ARC Flash Awareness certification does not expire; however, we recommend refresher training every three years.

MSHA Part 46 – New Miner
This three day course provides the students with entry level information about the Mine Safety and Health Administration and hazard awareness training for mining sites. Students will attain a general knowledge of safety for working on mining sites. This training is required for anyone engaged in mining operations (including developing, drilling, blasting, extracting, milling, crushing, screening or sizing materials within the mine), maintenance and service workers working on mining equipment for frequent or extended periods, or construction workers who are exposed to hazards of mining operations for frequent or extended periods. New miners or newly hired experienced miners must complete a minimum of 24 hours of training within their first 90 days of employment (4 hours must be completed prior to beginning work at the mine).

MSHA Part 46 – Refresher
This one-day course is an annual refresher training class designed for any miner who holds an existing MSHA Part 46 certification. Refresher certification will be issued upon successful completion of course.

MSHA Part 48 – New Miner
This three-day course provides the students with information about the Mine Safety and Health Administration and hazard awareness training for mining sites. Students will attain a general knowledge of safety for working on mining sites. This training is required for anyone engaged in mining operations (including developing, drilling, blasting, extracting, milling, crushing, screening or sizing materials within the mine), maintenance and service workers working on mining equipment for frequent or extended periods, or construction workers who are exposed to hazards of mining operations for frequent or extended periods. New miners or newly hired experienced miners must complete a minimum of 24 hours of training within their first 90 days of employment (4 hours must be completed prior to beginning work at the mine). An 8-hour refresher course must be completed annually each year after the initial training each year to keep the certification up to date.

MSHA Part 48 – Refresher
This one-day course is an annual refresher training class designed for any miner who holds an existing MSHA Part 48 certification. Refresher certification will be issued upon successful completion of course.

Silica Awareness Training
This one to two-hour course provides students with knowledge and understanding of the health hazards associated with exposure to respirable crystalline silica, specific tasks in the workplace that could result in exposure, and engineering controls, work practices and respirators to mitigate hazards. This course is ideal for all employees that may be exposed to respirable crystalline silica as outlined in CFR 1926.1153 (25 micrograms per cubic meter of air as an 8-hour TWA). The certification will not expire; however, we recommend attending this training every 3 years to stay up to date with news in the industry, learn about new laws and standards, and refresh on important topics.

Silica Worker Training
This 4-hour course provides students with knowledge and understanding of the health hazards associated with exposure to respirable crystalline silica, specific tasks in the workplace that could result in exposure, and engineering controls, work practices and respirators to mitigate hazards. This course is ideal for all employees working and performing tasks with exposure to respirable crystalline silica as outlined in CFR 1926.1153. The certification will not expire; however, we recommend attending this training every 3 years to stay up to date with news in the industry, learn about new laws and standards, and refresh on important topics.

Silica Competent Person Training
This full-day course provides students with knowledge and understanding of the health hazards associated with exposure to respirable crystalline silica, specific tasks in the workplace that could result in exposure, and engineering controls, work practices and respirators to mitigate hazards. The competent person must be capable of identifying existing and foreseeable respirable crystalline silica hazards in the workplace and who has authorization to take prompt corrective measures to eliminate or minimize them. This course is ideal for all employees who has authorization to take prompt corrective measures to eliminate or minimize the respirable crystalline silica hazards as outlined in CFR 1926.1153. The certification will not expire; however, we recommend attending this training every 3 years to stay up to date with news in the industry, learn about new laws and standards, and refresh on important topics.
